Meet MAddux: Our second Project of 2025

We’re honored to introduce our next project recipient – Maddux, a remarkable child with the rare conditions Coffin-Siris Syndrome and Transverse Myelitis. These diagnoses bring significant challenges, but Maddux meets each day with strength and resilience. He requires 24/7 care, including oxygen support, a BiPAP machine, and the full-time use of medical equipment. Maddux depends on a range of devices—a wheelchair, G-tube feeding system, braces, and more—to live safely and comfortably. After experiencing a devastating house fire last September, Maddux's family is preparing to move back into their renovated home at the end of the summer. We are honored to design a new, comforting space for him. At Christopher Kids, our biggest goal is to create a space that is fully accessible and safer for Maddux—a room designed specifically to support his unique medical and developmental needs. This space will be more than a bedroom; it will be a place of comfort, healing, and joy.
As part of the design, we will provide:

• A custom dresser/changing table to support daily care routines
• An adjustable bed
• A custom IV pole
• A low-pile, wheelchair-friendly rug to ensure smooth and safe mobility

We are excited to give Maddux a space that not only meets his needs, but also reflects the love and care he deserves. As Maddux and his family rebuild, Christopher Kids is honored to walk alongside them—creating a safe and joyful space just for him.
