Jed’s family came to us with a specific need of a bedroom that was seizure safe and unique to his needs. His new bed was designed with specific dimensions to protect a soft spot Jed has on his head. Each slat on the outer perimeter of the bed is a specific measurement to protect his head while also being seizure safe. The mattress and sheets are also made with a breathable material to provide safe sleeping and safety in the event of a seizure. We also brought in a crash mat as a sensory activity. Some of his favorite things that we incorporated in his room are cars, pirates and Curious George. Additionally, the storage added was explicitly chosen to be accessible and easy to manipulate for Jed. It was an honor to serve and provide this room for Jed and his family!
